Dr. Michael Pettinelli is a Yorktown resident, a U.S. Air Force veteran, and a clinician with more than 17 years of experience supporting veterans, military members, and their families. In this feature, Williamsburg Yorktown Daily readers learned why he started The Resilient Force Project and what it offers.

The Project is an incubator for growth. It's built on six pillars of resilience and designed to help people rediscover strength, purpose, and connection before, during, and after life's hardest moments. Its focus is one-on-one support for veterans, first responders, and leaders who feel stretched thin.

The message running through the story is that struggle is normal, and that resilience means preparing for adversity and learning from it, not just bouncing back.

"There's more right with you than wrong with you." (Dr. Michael Pettinelli)
